![]() ![]() The apple adapter is limited to 30Hz which for bible study isn't an issue but the apple adapters are a bit pricey. That said, you can still get 4K 60Hz screen resolution with the 13" if you use the right cable or adapter. ![]() The advantage of getting the 15" is it has a higher powered graphics card and quad-core processor. The most annoying feature I must admit is that it only uses USB-C ports. I can understand why some would think the Touch Bar is unnecessary, but I like using it. I'm not one to upgrade too often so I'm glad I spent extra to get what I wanted. I do think you are paying a premium as compared to Apple's competition for a similar spec'd computer, but Apple wins hands down interns of form, fit, function and quality - like I said, my last laptop lasted almost a decade and still works. I love the portability of the 13" and the machine has plenty of power for my uses. All in all, I'm very happy with the purchase. I upgraded from a late 2008 15" MBP which had.a 2.8 Core Duo processor. I opted for the 16G, 500G HD w/ 3.1GHz and love it. I've read in this sub that Apple has mentioned to other customers that this is a known issue and the keyboard, once replaced, will resolve the issue. As Apple isn't here (there's a reseller), it's not as seamless as in countries where Apple has a presence to have this repaired. I bought this MacBook in America and live in South Africa. There is sometimes a change, but the problem remains unsolved. I bought two cans, and have tried this a few times. I read this Apple article which indicates compressed air might solve the issue. This has not prevented the problem from occurring, and in fact my current feeling is it exacerbates the issue, as the silicone seems to prevent the key from recoiling back up. I mentioned the silicone cover on my keyboard. In fact as I type this, I am going back to delete these extra full stops. In many apps, this results in a full stop. A few weeks ago, I started to experience "double strokes" when I pressed the keyboard. I've had a silicone cover on my keyboard since the day I got the machine, and so this jarred me. This is an update to some earlier posts I wrote regarding the 2018 MacBook Pro keyboard.īackground: I have the 13" MacBook Pro, and a few months ago experienced a stuck "\" key. ![]()
